It is the responsibility of each client to ensure that there are no medical reasons why they should not embark upon an exercise regime. If in any doubt at all, clients should check with their doctor.
Anyone who has any medical problems must obtain their doctor’s permission to start an exercise regime.
We are unable to work with pregnant or post-natal women, until 9 months after the birth.
Anyone who has diabetes should inform us and always follow the advice given by their diabetes care team.
We cannot offer an exercise regime to under 16s unless they sign up with their parents in a group.
If you have or if you are concerned that you may have an eating disorder it is important to consult your doctor for advice.
Anyone who has had weight loss surgery must have approval from their doctor/health practitioner that it is appropriate for them to embark on an exercise regime.
It is required that each member takes responsibility for themselves when doing any exercise which has been advised by Embracing Fitness, either during or outside sessions. If at any time while exercising a member feels any ill effects, then they must stop doing the exercise and we advise they check this out with their doctor.
Payment must be made at the start of the block of exercise sessions, if a block is being booked; or at the start of the session for a one off; or in the case of Jumpstart levels, a monthly payment must be set up.
Jumpstart clients may change level as they wish, but must always wait until their monthly payment date for the change of level to take effect. Any Jumpstart client wishing to cancel their membership must inform Embracing Fitness in writing of their wish to cancel prior to stopping their payment.
In the case of a block having been booked, the dates of the sessions will be mapped out at the time of booking, and the following cancellation terms will apply:
Holiday and Illness:
- in the case of holidays, the client notifies Embracing Fitness at the time of the block booking being made;
- in the case of illness, the client is genuinely unfit to attend and notifies Embracing Fitness as soon as possible.
Cancellations:
If you need to rearrange your session, please inform Embracing Fitness at the earliest time. Late cancellations (within the 24 hours before the session) may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the session price.
Embracing Fitness will use personal information provided by clients to assist them in embarking on an exercise regime. This confidential information is maintained in accordance with Embracing Fitness’s data protection policy which complies with The Data Protection Act 1998.
